Yom HaZikaron and Yom HaAtzmaut are often called the Israeli High Holidays – Yom HaZikaron is Israel’s memorial day for fallen soldiers and victims of terror attacks, and Yom HaAtzmaut is Israeli Independence Day. These holidays are celebrated back-to-back so that Israelis remember those who gave them the freedom to celebrate, and celebrate the freedom those people sacrificed so much to give Israel.
We’ll begin by marking Yom HaZikaron by remembering all the fallen soldiers over Israel’s 77-year history, as well as mourning those who have been lost since October 7, 2023.
We’ll then experience the true Israeli Jewish experience of these holidays and immediately go into our Yom HaAtzmaut celebration! There will be music, Israeli food, and more!
The event is free, but we are asking everyone to register so we have an accurate headcount for dinner. Click here to register!
