Saturday, April 23
9:00am
IN PERSON and ON ZOOM
One of the most powerful experiences of community is the sharing of memories. The ritual of saying Yizkor prayers highlights the importance of this practice. While most Jews are familiar with the Yom Kippur afternoon Yizkor, we also gather in the service of memory on Sukkot, Pesach and Shavuot. During these services we read aloud the names of everyone in our community who has died in the past year, as well as the Yartzeit list for that week.
On the morning of April 23, Shabbat Sustenance will be (in person only) beginning at 9:00 am. As the community gathers for morning bagels and coffee, those who choose can join us in the sanctuary for Yizkor prayers (in person or on Zoom). At 9:30 we will rejoin the in-person group for study with our artist-in-residence, Rabbi Noam Katz.
