Sisterhood is going to the National Museum for Women of the Arts for a docent led tour of Judy Chicago’s “The End: A Meditation on Death and Extinction“.
About the Exhibition:
Judy Chicago has built her career on pushing boundaries. Her latest body of work, a series titled The End: A Meditation on Death and Extinction is no exception. In nearly 40 works of painted porcelain and glass, as well as two large bronze sculptures, Chicago tackles human mortality and species extinction.
The tour is at 11:00 a.m. Afterwards, we will have lunch together at the museum, and those who wish to stay in the museum for further exploration can do so.
Tickets are $10.00 for seniors (over 65) and $12.00 for others. Tickets must be purchased through a special NVHC Sisterhood link set up for our group. Please email Gail Dezube for more info on how to join us for this event.
