Presented by Jane Priest, Regional Manager, Programs & Services, Alzheimer’s Association® National Capital Area Chapter
Research suggests that healthy living is the key to aging well. This workshop will focus on steps you can take to help reduce your risk of dementia. By changing out old bad habits and incorporating new healthy habits into daily life, you can boost your brain function and benefit other vital organs such as your heart, lungs and liver. A healthy lifestyle will also improve fitness and balance which lowers the possibility of broken bones – a serious contributor to dementia. Come hear Jane Priest talk about healthy living, do a simple brain exercise, and learn about ways to assess and lower your risk for dementia. A workbook called with tips and suggestions will be distributed to all participants.
