Text: Mishkan HaNefesh (prayer books for Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah)
This class will focus on reading and understanding the prayers and the prayer variations that are unique to the High Holidays. We will look at key vocabulary words, the meaning and context for the prayers, as well as practice reading in Hebrew. Prayers covered will include Avinu Malkeinu, Zokreinu, Untaneh Tokef, Kol Nidre, and Pitchui Li.
Prerequisites: Familiarity with the Hebrew alphabet and ability to read Hebrew phonetically (Beginning Hebrew or equivalent)
