Youth Choirs - Kol Yeladim ...

Kids who love to sing will enjoy participating in one of NVHC's dynamic youth choirs!

No special musical experience or skill is necessary.

NVHC offers three youth choirs (grades K – 7) for children who enjoy singing and sharing Jewish music:

Kol Tsa’ir is for NVHC's youngest singers, in kindergarten and first grade. It is directed by NVHC's children's music specialist, Nell Hirsch and offers a low key introduction to choir.

Kol Yeladim, also directed by Nell Hirsch, provides a fun and festive musical experience for children in grades 2 – 4.

Kol Noar, offers students in grades 5 – 7 a more structured choir experience, and is directed by Cantor Irena Altshul.

Each choir sings at Junior Congregation or Simchat Shabbat services about once a month, and at occasional Religious School assemblies on Sunday mornings.

The choir kids also participate in local area music festivals, including the exciting Washington Area Youth Choir Festival with hundreds of other children from local area Jewish youth choirs.
